If you are interested (or know someone who might be), talk to one of our existing members about their experience. Read the BOD manual, SANDS Bylaws and SANDS Policies then fill out a SANDS Board of Directors Application or print and forward it to info@sandsaz.org or mail it to PO Box 17011, Tucson, AZ 85731.
We are also looking for chairperson/s for our annual SANDS Walk for Down Syndrome, if interested contact us at info@sandsaz.org.

My journey with SANDS began as a volunteer at the Buddy Walk, now known as the SANDS Walk for Down Syndrome. That first experience sparked a lasting commitment to the organization and the families we serve. I later joined the Board of Directors, and nearly two decades later, I am honored to serve as Board President.
While I do not have a family member with Down syndrome, I have always had a passion for serving others and strengthening our community. Over the past 12 years, I have built relationships with Down syndrome organizations across the country, creating opportunities to share ideas, learn best practices, and help SANDS continue to grow and better serve individuals with Down syndrome and their families throughout Southern Arizona.
