If you are interested (or know someone who might be), talk to one of our existing members about their experience. Read the BOD manual, SANDS Bylaws and SANDS Policies then fill out a SANDS Board of Directors Application or print and forward it to info@sandsaz.org or mail it to PO Box 17011, Tucson, AZ 85731.
We are also looking for chairperson/s for our annual SANDS Walk for Down Syndrome, if interested contact us at info@sandsaz.org.

I am a wife and homeschooling mom to six amazing children, including my son, Eddie, who has Down syndrome. Eddie has given me a unique perspective on the joys and incredible journey of raising a child with Down syndrome.
I was inspired to join the SANDS Board of Directors because I want to help new families feel connected, supported, and welcomed into the Down syndrome community. The journey can feel overwhelming at times, especially in the beginning, and I want every family to know that they are not alone. SANDS is here to provide resources, connection, encouragement, and support every step of the way.
I am honored to serve on the board and to help ensure that families know there is a community here ready to walk alongside them.
