You may be able to get some or all of your donation back as a tax credit on your Arizona taxes. SANDS is a qualified QCO, code 22259.
For 2025, $987 is the credit limit if you file as married filing jointly, otherwise $495.
For 2024, $938 is the credit limit if you file as married filing jointly, otherwise $470.
You can donate up to April 15th and claim it on your return for either tax year.
The credit is non-refundable, meaning you can't get back more than you had to pay in Arizona taxes for the year.
